Summary
Bankruptcy filings in Buffalo rose more than 10 percent in May from both a year ago and the previous month, but the overall pace so far this year is still slower than at the height of economic troubles in 2009.
According to new figures from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York, there were 590 new case filings in Buffalo in May, up 10.5 percent from 534 in April and 533 in May, 2009.See the full content of this document
