The Town Board briefly discussed the idea of hiring a part-time town electrical inspector on an as-needed basis, something board members agreed Monday was an "intriguing idea, but not for this year."

Building Inspector Timothy Masters told the board that he had interviewed officials from 10 surrounding towns and found that most, like Lewiston, rely on two major electrical inspection services: Atlantic Inland or the New York Board of Fire Underwriters.
