Ryan Bourque more than anybody knows what it means. He has Canadian bloodlines and an American birth certificate. His career began in Boston and led him to junior hockey in Quebec City. His father represented Canada in international competition during his Hall of Fame career and, now, the kid is a leader for the United States.

Ray Bourque was one of the classiest NHL players during a brilliant career that included 21 seasons with the Boston Bruins before he retired with a Stanley Cup victory with the Colorado Avalanche. The defenseman had a knack for never speaking out of turn while still getting his point across.
