Nik Wallenda will leave Western New York today feeling "very optimistic" about his chances at walking a high wire over Niagara Falls, though Canadian officials gave him no indication Thursday whether they would approve his plan.

One day after New York State lawmakers endorsed the plan, Wallenda met in Canada with Niagara Parks Commission General Manager Fay Booker for a 45-minute introductory session.
