Large enough to rival Delaware Park, parcels totaling hundreds of acres of rolling hills, mature woods, a stream and farmland are being preserved forever from development in one of Erie County's wealthiest -- and fastest growing -- suburbs.

"It's quiet, it's serene," said Michael Powers, a lifelong Clarence resident who helped spearhead the program, called Greenprint, that led to the protection of the site in the vicinity of Greiner and Salt roads. "It's very special."
