The Akron Central School District, expecting about $266,000 more in restored state aid, is still dealing with major staffing and program cuts, a move that drew a standing-room-only crowd to Monday's meeting of the Budget Advisory Committee.

Superintendent Robin B. Zymroz and Business Administrator Cynthia M. Tretter led discussions with the 27-member committee, comprising administrators, staff, Board of Education members and representatives of community organizations and the Akron and Newstead governments.
