Summary
Voters in Erie County are angry. Given the high tax burden in the state, the dysfunctional nature of state government, the recent consolidation of power in the hands of New York City politicians and the still-fresh memories of the incompetence of the Giambra administration, this anger comes with great justification.
However, I fear voters are so angry that they may strike out at anything connected with government and politics, potentially throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
