Q: I've been dating a great girl for a few months now, and I think I'm really starting to fall for her. There is one major thing that bothers me, though, and it's that some of her family members are downright cruel to her. There really doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the mean behavior, but it appears that there are issues with jealousy and clashing personalities.
She has expressed a lot of sadness that accompanies the isolation she feels from her family, and it honestly enrages me. She has loads of wonderful friends and some decent family members, but I can still see the pain in her eyes. I feel like she's being bullied by them, but with all the stuff going on in the media about teenage bullying, is that even a valid argument? Does the term bullying only pertain to school-age kids?
