Buffalo School Board hopefuls attending a candidates forum Thursday seemed to agree that charter schools ought to have a dedicated source of funding not funds siphoned from traditional public schools.
Seven of the 12 candidates vying for six district seats on the School Board attended the forum, sponsored by the Alliance for Quality Education and Citizen Action, at 339 Genesee St. About 20 people showed up to ask questions and hear the candidates' views on how to increase the high school graduation rate, where to trim $18 million from the budget and how to keep charter schools from draining resources from the public school system.See the full content of this document
