Jurek Returns to Pba Winner's Circle ; Leads Strong Wny Contingent

The Western New York contingent -- both men and women -- certainly made its presence felt in the PBA's World Series of Bowling, which wrapped up last month in Michigan. Buffalo-area bowlers took home two titles and three second-place finishes in the six weeks of competition in 13 tournaments.

Crowning it all was Jack Jurek's run to the title in the PBA Shark championship, which will be shown on a taped program on ESPN at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. It was Jurek's second career PBA Tour title, first since he won the Tums Classic in Windsor Locks, Conn., in 1995.
