George Reed Bohovich, a standout St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute football player who went on to play pro football for the New York Giants, died Oct. 1 in Richmond, Texas, after a four-year struggle with myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow disorder. He was 69.
Born in Buffalo, he was a 1958 graduate of St. Joe's, where he was the school's first player to be selected as a Catholic High School All American.
