Summary
When the curtain came down on Act I of "The Opera Show," the unusual extravaganza Tuesday in the UB Center for the Arts, a few of us got to talking. We wondered if the show could make it on Broadway.
A good-sized crowd had turned out for this British road show, and we could see why. The act we had just seen was such a feast for the eyes. The singers sported elaborate candy-colored clothes. One prima donna wore a dozen shades of pink, and there was a diva in a green gown and wig. A string quartet -- a real string quartet -- had emerged in green suits and punk wigs.
