Summary
Chris Collins' decision to award $300,000 to 13 arts and cultural projects is welcome, but doesn't go far enough. It still appears that the county executive does not understand the importance of the smaller cultural organizations to the quality of life in Western New York and the government's role in helping them.
The money, in the form of capital grants, will go to Studio Arena Theatre, Graycliff Conservancy and the African American Cultural Center, among others. All are worthy organizations, and the efforts to improve their physical plants should be supported.See the full content of this document
