Summary
The Buffalo Infringement Festival, the annual carnival of "under- the-radar" art, music, theater and dance that takes over Allentown and its environs each summer, is once again upon us. The 11-day festival kicks off Thursday with a spate of events and activities, foremost of which are the official Infringement Festival opening ceremonies to be held in Nietzsche's (248 Allen St.) at 7 p.m.
The evening at Nietzsche's will showcase at least 13 local musical acts, ranging in style from the homemade prog rock of Charles J. Quagliana and Ted Reinhardt to the pulsing Americana of Reverend Soapbox and the Rabble Rousers. Elsewhere in Allentown on Thursday night, musical performances will take place at Buffalo Bar Fly (162 Elmwood Ave.) and Hallwalls (341 Delaware Ave.). Theater performances will kick off in the Manny Fried Playhouse (255 Great Arrow Ave.), the New Phoenix Theatre (95 Johnson Park) and in a roaming performance from the Subversive Theatre Collective starting in Days Park at 8 p.m.See the full content of this document
