ST. LOUIS -- It's cold and miserable here and the rain started to fall about 5 p.m. CT. Not hard rain. Not enough rain to postpone a game but the forecasts were for persistent rain and MLB didn't want to take a chance of any delays in Game Six of the World Series.
That was the upshot of what we learned this afternoon from MLB VP Joe Torre when he met with reporters in Busch Stadium (left). Think CC Sabathia-Justin Verlander.
