Working in health care is considered one of the most hazardous jobs in the country, with strains and sprains from lifting patients the source of tens of thousands of injuries each year.

Now, with increased calls for better equipment and training, two organizations have teamed up to open a center for safe patient- handling in Buffalo. It's believed to be the first such center in New York State and one of the few nationwide.
