PALADINO WATCH: Carl P. Paladino has earned the right to be taken very, very seriously as a candidate for governor -- or, if you prefer, voters have confered that right upon him. We're as interested as anyone in watching his positions and proposals unfold in the weeks ahead -- but we're also riveted by the political theater that's already on stage.
Paladino's gift of rhetoric, for example, this week pushed the word "cojones" into print, much to the amusement of those of us old enough to remember when the guardians of the printed word hereabouts mandated the use of "rodent" instead of "rat." But we were even more amused by his reaction to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver's comment that if Paladino is elected, New Yorkers should "consider moving out of the state."See the full content of this document
