Sometimes gardening articles and how-to books are annoying. Everyone in them is so clean, and projects have a logical beginning, middle and end.
Today was more typical of how gardening really happens: I just went out for a walk with the dog. It was raining lightly, so I put on a baseball cap and stepped into my Wellies.
