RENO, Nev. -- Jack Jurek was just three frames away from winning his first major bowling championship. Then it all blew up.

Leading by 21 pins after seven frames, Jurek saw his lead vanish when two pocket hits led to splits. Another split, a 7-10, after a strike in the 10th finished off the Lackawanna bowler and helped Tommy Hess of Urbandale, Iowa, walk off with his first Tour victory in the Bayer USBC Masters tournament.
