Thanks to some tremendously timely three-point shooting, it was a great day for two Williamsville schools and Niagara Falls at the Cataract Classic.

Williamsville North freshman Sterling Taplin had 28 points, including six three-pointers, as the Spartans recorded a very significant win in beating two-time defending Section V (Rochester area) champion Batavia, 56-53, in the third of six games played Saturday at Niagara Falls High School.
