The first session of summer camp at Cradle Beach always brings an abundance of new faces and personalities as campers and counselors settle into their new 66-acre home on the shores of Lake Erie in Angola.
While a few counselors have returned from previous years, many have graduated from college and moved on, said Bonnie A. Brusk, director of youth services at the camp. This year, several newcomers will arrive at Cradle Beach, and Brusk said she anticipated a few minor hiccups on opening day, but instead was pleasantly surprised. "This new batch of counselors has been nothing short of phenomenal," Brusk said.
