Brandon Thermilus, the University at Buffalo senior tailback, will miss the remainder of the season with a torn right anterior cruciate ligament, coach Jeff Quinn said Tuesday.

The fifth-year senior's collegiate career might be over, but Quinn said the school will investigate whether Thermilus can earn an additional year. He missed his true freshman season in 2006 with a knee injury suffered during training camp.
