A Toronto sports doctor who treated golfer Tiger Woods, baseball star Alex Rodriguez and other famous athletes was indicted by a federal grand jury in Buffalo on Thursday for allegedly smuggling misbranded and unapproved drugs into the United States.

Dr. Anthony Galea, 51, of Toronto, faces five felony counts after an investigation that began in September 2009 when his assistant was caught smuggling drugs over the Peace Bridge into Buffalo.
