I had the pleasure of being at the unveiling and dedication of the Town of Tonawanda Veterans Memorial at Walter M. Kenney Field on Aug. 18. What a beautiful and emotionally patriotic experience that was.
My father, a resident of Kenmore for 41 years, was a World War II veteran. He was a medic in the Army and spent about two years aboard the U.S. hospital ship Ernest Hinds caring for the wounded. He received several service ribbons and battle stars.See the full content of this document
