Summary
I love mostly everything about fall the smell of the leaves, wading through pumpkin fields in search of the right one, and the crisp nights that make me dig out the blankets from storage. But as I unwillingly relinquish my flip-flops for socks and sneakers, and shorts give way to capris, then finally jeans, I'm aware of the subtle reminders that winter isn't too far around the corner.
With thoughts of winter come the stories of winter that only people who live with snow can really appreciate. Isn't it great sitting around a fire with a bunch of friends or family, sipping apple cider and eating apple fritters, remembering back to when your ballerina costume had to fit over a snowsuit one Halloween? Or how many clothes you wore under your snowmobile suit while sitting in a snowstorm at The Ralph for all four quarters of a game? And jumping off the roof into a snowdrift that came clear up to the second story, or spending the night in a trucker's cab because a storm shut the Thruway down with no way to get off?See the full content of this document
